Our program gives you the power to choose how you want your journey to progress. You can purchase individualized classes as you go, for you or a group of friends. If you're feeling more motivated then consider an immersive experience by purchasing a membership.

No matter what path you choose, our first meeting will begin with an intro class in which we'll walk you through the alphabet and the numbers 1-100. If your skills go beyond the basics then we'll jump right into vocabulary together. As your classes progress, we will spend time practicing words, phrases, and concepts in order to put them all together into sentences!

Students ages 1-17 will learn age appropriate material:
• Colors, Shapes, Animals
• Family Members
• Everyday Conversation with Peers
• Social Media
• And more...
Students 18+ will learn fun adult content if desired. We believe that it's important that all parts of language are explored. Feel free to let us know if you're interested in specialized signs for topics such as:
• Religious
• Sports
• Legal
• Medical
• And more...

Above are simple guidelines of what will be taught; however, each student will get unique instruction based on their individual learning style. Remember, how you learn is how we'll approach each class. We're so excited to meet you and get you started on your journey!

Hello! I'm so happy you're here because that means you're curious about sign language and d/Deaf culture! And why shouldn't you be? The d/Deaf World is bursting with visual and kinesthetic beauty and there's so much for each of us to discover. I'm so happy to be walking with you on this amazing journey.
I was first exposed to ASL when I was 17 and volunteered at a kindergarten center. I worked with a 5-year-old d/Deaf child who opened a door to another world where I was immediately captivated! Since my high school didn't offer ASL courses, I studied from old VHS tapes from the public library. I learned as much as I could so that I would have the privilege of communicating with this incredible person who invited me into his world. I continued learning on my own until the following year when I joined the Army and was immediately shipped off to Germany. When I returned home, I enrolled in an Interpreter Training Program in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2007. I then moved to North Carolina and continued my education in ASL at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have also been taking courses at Gallaudet University where I am furthering my education in d/Deaf Studies.

Once again, I am so thrilled you are here. Enjoy your journey - whichever path you choose!
